The new program "Music for Three" is presented by the US Orchestra band at the Ivan Honchar Museum. The musicians will open for listeners another page of an unknown Ukrainian instrumental tradition from archival records of the 50s and 90s.
An evening of sensual, romantic, light and dramatic traditional music - live performances of three-part dances from Poltava and Western Podillya (boredom, waltzes, mazurkas). This is the music of the late nineteenth - early twentieth century, which is influenced by European culture, lordly and military brass bands. In the Ukrainian rural environment, it was transformed, adapted to the traditional instrumental composition and actively lived in a festive context.
